System Overview
CX3-V MONOLITH is a pilot-scale materials system that reframes direct air capture as a production chain, using captured carbon dioxide as feedstock for carbon-black manufacturing.
It captures carbon dioxide from atmospheric air, separates it from the capture medium, routes concentrated gas through a controlled conversion core, recovers process heat, and collects solid carbon in a sealed drawer.
A top-mounted rotary packed-bed scrubber captures CO2. Gravity feeds enriched solvent to a flash stripper, concentrated gas enters a fixed-bed Bosch reactor with hydrogen, and produced carbon falls through cooling and heat-recovery zones into a sealed harvest module.
